Osteoporoseambulanz, habe ich von der NöGKK folgende Stellungnahme seitens des chefärztlichen Dienstes erhalten:

Der vorliegende Fall konnte – wie bereits telefonisch mitgeteilt – in einem Telefonat mit Herrn Dr. Schwarz gleich nach Einlangen der Beschwerde geklärt werden. Aus medizinischer Sicht ist die Entscheidung der NöGKK absolut korrekt gewesen. Die Patientin ist mittlerweile auf Parathormon eingestellt.

Der Kritikpunkt von Herrn Dr. Schwarz richtet sich aber – so wie ich ihn verstanden habe – nicht gegen die Entscheidung in der Sache sondern gegen den Ablauf und die Art der Übermittlung. Wir sind ständig um eine Verbesserung unserer Abläufe bemüht und arbeiten daran, dass der Bedarf nach telefonischer Rücksprache von unseren ärztlichen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern rechtzeitig erkannt und so ein Hin- und Herschicken von ABS-Anträgen ohne Lösung des Problems verhindert wird. Ich möchte an dieser Stelle aber auch mitteilen, dass telefonische Kontaktaufnahmen seitens der VP nicht immer erwünscht sind und unsere Mitarbeiter zT recht unfreundlich „abgewimmelt“ werden.

Manche Probleme in der Heilmittelbewilligung entstehen – wie im vorliegenden Fall (Osteoporosetherapie) von Dr. ……./FA f.Orthopädie und Herrn Dr. Schwarz berichtet – durch die Diskrepanz zwischen dem, was im Rahmen der angebotenen medizinischen Fortbildung „gelehrt“ wird und dem was der Datenlage (die Grundlage für die Verschreibbarkeit laut EKO
ist) entspricht. Wir sehen immer wieder, dass pharmazeutische Unternehmen die ihnen zur Verfügung stehenden Daten nicht für eine kritische Prüfung durch die HEK dem Hauptverband vorlegen sondern lieber eine Umsatzerweiterung im Wege der (unabhängigen?) medizinischen Fortbildung anstreben. Die Frage nach dem „warum“ möge jeder für sich selbst beantworten.
Im gegenständlichen Fall (Protelos nach Bisphosphonattherapie) wurden wir vergangene Woche von der Pharmafirma, die Protelos vertreibt,kontaktiert. Die Firmenvertreterin teilte uns mit, dass demnächst ein Antrag auf Erweiterung der Indikation an den HVB gestellt wird. Begründet wird dieser Antrag mit einer Studie werden, wo bei 15! (kein Tippfehler) Patientinnen anhand einer Knochenbiopsie ein Benefit in Bezug auf Knochendichte und – qualität von Protelos
(Strontiumranelat) im Anschluss an eine Bisphosphonattherapie nachgewiesen wurde.
